Welcome to the first annual Spring Fox Hunt Extravaganza! Held by the collaborative stables MoonShadow Equestrian and Victory Song Stables! Together the stables land covers over 1700 acres, and is attached to national forest, so infinite freedom awaits! Located in the rural, beautiful, and breathtaking Taos, New Mexico, U.S.A, nestled between a sky-swallowing mesa and the fantastic Sangre De Christo mountains.
The stables are about a quarter of a mile apart from each other, on opposite sides of the road, near the pueblo, so not a lot of traffic goes through. Trails lead out from all directions of each property, some out to the mesa, some up the mountains. Together the facilities hold up to 220 stabled horses, as well as those in pasture, and temporary stalls can be put up if need be.
We have full staff to help you take care of any and all needs at any time during your stay. Wash stalls, outdoor and indoor, are available, along with lease horses if you would like to join the specialty classes but don't have a suitable horse. Arenas, indoor and outdoor, are available along with jumps if need be. Pastures and private paddocks are available as well. We would like to ensure you and your horses stay is as comfortable as possible!
Keep in mind that in the mountains surrounding MoonShadow Equestrian and Victory Song Stables, a land is hidden that is home to all sorts of strange creatures, that sometimes make their way out to see the human world. So do be careful not to get hurt by or hurt the unknown and marvelous creatures that may appear. Such creatures include, Risthavek and other equines, and all kinds of other beasts. Do not fear, so far, all the beings have been nothing but curious.

Main Hunt_____________________________
Any and all horses may enter this event! It starts in the large meadow above MoonShadow Equestrian. The troops will gather, and the fox will be let loose and given a 15 minute head start. The only dogs allowed will be provided by MoonShadow Equestrian, unless you can prove that yours WILL NOT bite or attack the fox in ANY way, only track it, since the fox in this case is actually our beloved ex-racehorse MSE Dark Secret, ridden by Charlotte Anne Goldberg.
Keep in mind that this will not be easy, Darky is the fastest horse the Collins family has bred, and they've been breeding and racing thoroughbreds for 50-odd years. He is their pride and joy, and knows these mountains like the back of his hoof. Charlie is the resident jockey and having lived in Taos most of her life will be difficult to outrun or outsmart.
Teems are fine to use, but it is a competition and there can only be one winner, second place being the person that got the closest but didn't quite snag the fox, and so on and so forth. If you decide to use a team it get's you bonus points and is a great way to collab with another artist! But you must do a main entry of your horse and rider alone!

Obertaurer Hunt_____________________________
For Obertaurers, and any horses that are VERY well adapted to the snow and harsh environments! It's up at the top of the mountains, on Wheeler Peak. The highest point in new mexico. Snow sits on the mountains until late summer, and it's cold, harsh, uneasy terrain that isn't safe for most horses to be traveling through at high speeds, it's cold wintery weather, and ice and rocks and all sorts of mountainy things are everywhere.
Weather: Up in the mountains it's expected the last blizzard of the season is going to happen, so be careful and bring mittens!

Disturbed Nightmare Hunt_____________________________
This is an epic battle! Starting in the woods behind Victory Song Stables, it's for Disturbed Nightmares only. Why? Because powers are allowed. Yes, that's right! It's a game of wit and ability. But please keep your DN under control! We don't want anyone to end up hurt or dead, now do we?
We have a few for lease if you want to participate but don't have a suitable horse but you must know your way around dangerous horses since DNs are not old riding ponies! They are dangerous and powerful creatures.
-ONLY DISTURBED NIGHTMARES (have a horse that isn't a DN that you think could make the cut? Let me know, but no promises! This is going to be dangerous!)
-POWERS MUST BE USED if you want to catch the fox, who will not hesitate to use his powers on you!

Nordanner Hunt_____________________________
Instead of a "Fox" you'll be hunting a "Dragon"! Excellent competitive practice for dragon hunting. The "dragon" in this case is our Nazmei Stallion, who will be ridden by Tro. They're going to act much like the dragons that Nordanners are bred to hunt so it should be fun!

Flying Hunt_____________________________
This hunt is held in the sky. Clouds and mountain tops at your feet, keep in mind that the fox could be anywhere. By the treelike, in a cliffside cave, have fun with this one!

Ravequine Hunt_____________________________
Ladies and gentleman! Grab your ravequines and scenequines and head on over to the Ravequine Hunt! The forests are set up with strobe lights as your only light and music blasting through the trees. LED lights are a must! And trust me, trying to find a LED lit fox with strobe lights and a bunch of flashing ravers running around is going to be hard.
Have fun with the lights! have fun with this! The area has been cleared of big rocks and such and jumps are covered with lights so that they're seen easier.

Celebration Ball_____________________________
Held indoors and outdoors in the stable yard of MSE and the main house. Its a black tie affair, spread out across the facilities. White christmas lights are hung on the trees and stables, and a raffle is being held for the people who attend.
-To join the raffle you must draw a ball entry of one or more characters
-Including an MSE or VSS horse or rider in the background or story gives you +3 extra points for every entry
-Can draw your characters inside or outside, winner of the ball gets a fullbody pic of any horse.

IF IN DISTURBED NIGHTMARE HUNT
Must show you and/or the fox using powers! HAVE FUN WITH IT! You don't have to show the fox, but powers are a must!
IF IN NORDANNER HUNT
You don't have to wear Nordanner Tack but you can if you want to, this dragon wont try to hurt you so full armor isn't necessary, but it's good practice for your Nordanner to wear full armor while going at high speeds over distance so its up to you.
IF IN FLYING HUNT
You MUST be tacked in flying gear! We don't want any accidents!
IF IN RAVEQUINE HUNT
You can show it dark or with white lighting since the lighting is strobe lights, which flash.

Weather: Throughout the week it's expected to be sunny skies and warm breezes. But the mountains are snow topped and during sunset the mountains turn red, hence the name the Sangre De Christo, Blood of Christ mountains.
