Scan? GROSS. Original? Not so gross XD
This is my spirit horse entry for Mapal's Summer Show mapal.deviantart.com/journal/4…
I know the other entries were more different but idk....it just sort of drew itself XD
I also suffered a lot for this piece XD The marker just wont dry! I ended up sniffing so much marker I almost passed out I felt so sick DX Never again am I using that particular sharpie. It's a meanie face.
Oh and the yellow areas are her actually coat. There are even blue stripes, you just have to look closely I guess XD
Story time?
STORY TIME:
Tro had signed up for a lot of classes, and had prepared eagerly for months. And then the week came. The hardest week of the competition. The week where she would train with a Spirit Horse.
She had drawn Frumusete Fatala, a spunky palomino mare who could summon lightning.
"So, you have a jumping mare, huh?" Cobie was a pro and pointing out the obvious, "so how're you going to get her to calm down enough to do a plain and simple dressage test?"
"That's not at the top of my list. I have no idea how a Spirit Horse works. I feel like a noob," Tro grabbed a grooming kit and went back to where Fru stood tied and waiting.
"You are a noob, silly," Cobie started on Sunny's feet, "and you know, I think that Jolea is ready to move up in her training with us. Prince is doing very well."
"You just like her," Tro snorted a laugh.
"You aren't jealous are you?" Cobie wiggled his eyebrows.
"Um, no, but I should get started with Fru," Tro laughed and put the saddle and blanket on Fru's back, "I'm going to the covered arena to work on commanding orbs of light."
"Alright, I'll finish with Sunny and keep Maurie occupied. I'll get her started with the foals in a very subtle manner," Cobie laughed.
"Thanks. And remember. As far as Maurie knows, we're just training her," Tro put on Fru's bridle and led her away to start practice.

I like thissssss. Very much. The other day, I was wondering how to do a night-like piece in traditional, so I guess this is how. 
But really, this is amazing. I love the colors, the pose, and of course, the lightning.
